About Us
M. Brown Contracting and Fright for Life Night
M Brown Contracting is a locally owned and operated landscaping and snow and ice management company proudly serving British Columbia’s beautiful Bulkley Valley. With over 20 years of experience in heavy equipment operation, site safety, ecological landscape design, and certified training across multiple areas, we bring the knowledge, skill, and care needed to handle every project with professionalism and pride.
But our work doesn’t stop at the job site. Community is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we created Fright for Life Night — a Halloween event that combines thrills and fun with the power of giving back. Each year, 100% of the proceeds are donated to a different nonprofit, group, or charity in Houston, BC. In 2025, proceeds will support Houston Community Services Association, helping to fund the Food Bank and Community Connections programs that so many families rely on.
For us, it’s not just about the services we provide — it’s about making life better for the people who live here. Through both our work and our events, we’re committed to building a stronger, more connected community one project, and one night of fright, at a time.
